Wet turning green macrocarpa

Got a decent sized chunk of macrocarpa on the lathe this weekend that is still pretty damp. Planning to turn it thin and let it warp as it dries, but I am wondering how much movement others usually allow for. Do you rough turn yours and leave them in shavings for a few months, or just take them to final thickness right away?
