Welcome to the workshop. This space is set up for anyone who spends their weekends turning bowls, spindles, and whatever else takes their fancy on the lathe. Whether you are still getting to grips with your gouges or you have been sharpening high-speed steel for forty years, there is always something new to learn about timber movement and grain direction. We talk about proper tool technique, timber selection, finishing oils, and the occasional mystery piece found at an estate sale. If it spins on a mandrel or between centres, it belongs here.
